Restylane®, and Juvéderm® are natural substances called hyaluronic acid that already exist in the human body and restore fullness and smoother contours to your face. These fillers are for surface and deeper wrinkles or creases.
Lisa prefers the Restylane® product line for facial fillers and volume: Contour, Lyft, Refyne, Defyne, and Kysse. You will see a significant improvement in the appearance of the injected lines and wrinkles. It does depend on the product but the treatment should last approximately six to nine months. Since everyone’s body metabolizes differently, it can last up to one year or longer.
Again, avoid any products containing Aspirin, Ibuprofen, St. John's Wort, or high doses of Vitamin E for one week prior to treatment to help decrease bruising and bleeding at the injection site. After treatment you will need to leave the area alone for six hours and refrain from aerobic exercise for 24 hours. There might be redness, swelling, and minor bruising at the injection sites.
There is minimum discomfort from these injections, and most of the syringes have a local anesthetic mixed in. Side effects are mild and may last for a few weeks. Common side effects may include temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, swelling, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, redness, and itching.
SCULPTRA (injectable poly-L-lactic acid)
A volumizer for sunken cheeks, temples, and the marionette area. As we age, we lose volume especially in these areas. Think of a balloon left overnight after a big party…wrinkled up on the floor, but blow it up and restore the volume and the look!
